Not the Shears, Mom!

Here's something I recently read in a parenting magazine:

  • Hair clips are a choking hazard for children under 3.
  • Headbands are a strangulation hazard for young children.
  • Ponytail holders cause headaches and hair loss.
  • Hair covering eyes cause weak eye development and poor vision.

They offered no suggestions for moms of shaggy-haired children like mine.

Bowl cuts? Boy cuts? Buzz cuts? Are these my only options?

Oh, I love Riley's hair! My sister's friend had a baby that choked to death on a hairbow while her mom thought she was napping. My suggestion, if your baby naps in a different room, take the bow or clip or ponytail out. We just watched Hannah really closely. And if Ainsley even touches her hair, we tell her NO! Poor kid is terrified of her hair! :) Good luck! And don't cut her hair off, please!

We're doomed!

At least she has hair to worry about. If this next baby really is a girl, she is doomed to be bald like Will and Tayson. I will have to come up with something to make her look like a girl!

This (like all your posts!) made me laugh!

All I know is that she looks cute, shaggy-hair or not. :)

I was feeling guilt free (because Sophia doesn't like anything in her hair either) until your final bullet... It looks like Riley lets you brush her hair, so that's a plus!

ps how's your training going?
