So, as a bona fide housework-hater, I've embraced the idea of delegating household tasks to my 20 month old. And that I can call myself a good mom for doing it! (Right? Right?)
Riley's current chore: emptying the silverware and Tupperware from the dishwasher.

Hey, I'm not complaining! We've come a long way since this...

How funny! Those are the same chores that Hannah has to help with, too. We don't have a silverware drawer, though. We just have a wood silverware organizer on top of the microwave, so we have to be a bit more organized with Hannah. I hand her one piece of silverware at a time and she puts it in the right spot. Well, except for the plastic dishes that she just throws under the counter... that's always fun. She loves to "sweep" so I let her push the broom around after I finish sweeping. I wish she would show an interest in dusting. I hate to dust!
I'd love to borrow her! Who cares if it's not totally organized as long as it ends up in the drawer. Seriously, though, when she learns how to vacuum, send her my way...
You have the Asian spoons! So cool! And three pronged forks...interesting
A wise woman once told me, "Find a chore you hate to do and then teach your children how to do that chore and then make it their responsibility." Good work!
