No Time for Blogging. Too Busy Boxing.

For the first time in Matt/Kathryn history, I knew what to get Matt for his birthday: a Nintendo Wii.

He'd had his eye on them for months, and I figured since the hospital bills are pretty much paid and cashflow is returning now that he's working again, I'd make up for the past eight years of lame gifts. Plus, I thought he deserved something fun after such a crappy summer.

When he opened his Wii, he was really surprised and really happy.

But the real surprise has been how much *I've* enjoyed it. Who knew fake boxing could be so much fun?

Gotta love mutually beneficial gifts...

My running/biking buddy, Laura, is now my boxing buddy, too!

That's great! Usually guys are accused of buying their wives gifts that are really for themselves.....I don't think anyone could really say you intentionally bought a Wii for yourself! But the benefits look fun....

We have had our Wii for a couple months now and it never gets old! You need to get Mario Party...it is a blast! Happy Birthday Matt! See you guys soon!

That looks like fun! Glad you could both benefit from the birthday gift! That's always nice.

We love our Wii too! It is so much fun and you should try tennis too! I would also comment that I felt pretty lame when my arms were sore the morning after boxing! Happy Birthday to Matt! Our newest video game edition is Guitar Hero III. Our lives were sucked away for a good week after we bought that one! It is so much fun to feel like you are really playing a guitar!

Looks like you're getting some good exercise in... I'm afraid I would punch the t.v. if I tried something like that.

Hi Kathryn,

This is Breanne here - the one who recently bought the Charade mobile. I hope you don't mind me commenting on your blog - (but blogging is just so fun sometimes!). But we just wanted to tell you and Matt that we love the mobile. I hadn't responded about it yet because I keep meaning to take a good picture of the room with the mobile to include in our thank you ... BUT that hasn't happened yet, so I thought I would at least tell you how much we like it. I will send a picture after we take one.
It was too funny talking to you guys on the phone - if we lived near each other, I would seriously invite you over for dinner.

Anyhow, I will stop stalking.
Hope you guys are doing well. Thank you! Thank you Matt!
