Riley slept until 9 this morning, something she hasn't done in months.
This--the chance to sleep in!--is normally cause for celebration.
But of course it was the morning I woke up unusually early to run with my friend Laura, something I haven't done in months.
Riley, could we maybe coordinate schedules next time?

is that Riley's "wake up" hair? it's very cute and a little unfair if she wakes up looking so ready to go.
Ha! Wait 'til you see the picture I'm about to post! (But yes, it usually is that cute, and yes, it's very unfair.)
Just wait until you have two...then when one sleeps in, the other wakes up...they can never seem to coordinate!
NINE??? Really? Ahhhhh, that would be nice...
that ALWAYS happens to us. sunday mornings my kids always want to sleep in when we have 9am church. saturday morning, they are up at 7.
